A danger to women
Cathey votes with pimps and abusers...
Stewart Cathey is dangerous. In the Louisiana senate he sided with pimps, and abusers over victims of domestic and intimate partner violence and survivors of human trafficking.*
...And makes a habit of threatening violence against women
But that's not surprising, because Cathey's own personal history of threatening violence
against women is clear and unambiguous. As recently as April 2023, Cathey physically threatened a woman senator, accosting her in the halls of the capitol.*

Criminals Can’t Fix Crime
Voters in Senate District 33 ranked crime as their number one concern. But Stewart Cathey has his own crime problem... Cathey was arrested in 2015 for failing to take care of money he owed to law enforcement for over five years.
You can’t fix crime when you’re the criminal element, and when you think you are above the law yourself. Crooked Cathey is the problem, not the solution.

Crooked Cathey Stole from Veterans
insulting Veterans
Cathey defrauded* Veterans for personal gain, taking resources set aside for other veterans in need who served honorably.
Lying to Loan Agents
Cathey lied* to get a VA Loan on a house he didn’t live in, then used that house as collateral to start his own business,* getting rich off our vets.
*VA Loans require the borrower reside in the home within 60 days of purchase, but Cathey continued to reside elsewhere, receiving his tax bills at his mama and daddy‘s house.
More Crooked Antics
Crooked Cathey’s poor character is a threat to freedom-loving families across Senate District 33. We need better, accountable leadership NOW!
Crooked Cash too...
We can’t afford Crooked Cathey
Stewart Cathey was among the highest paid legislators in Louisiana*, living off of Lobbyist’s meals and favors. And reporters are still asking who paid for Cathey’s recent wedding and birthday party.
While the legislature considered a pay raise for itself,* Stewart Cathey voted to cut wages for teachers and school employees.
